About Blur Garden

Blur Garden is an independent game studio creating intimate, unsettling games about fear, memory, desire, love, grief, and wonder.

The studio is led by Elio, a Spanish solo developer, 3D artist, and actor based in Tokyo.

Before making games, Elio spent more than 15 years working professionally in theatre as an actor in classical and contemporary productions. That background shapes the way Blur Garden approaches space, silence, rhythm, presence, and performance.

Blur Garden’s current project is House of Tides, a first-person psychological sci-fi horror game set inside a forgotten theatre beneath a drowned world.

House of Tides is a first-person psychological sci-fi horror game set inside a shifting labyrinth of memories, imagined lives, and fractured identities.

Follow an anomalous signal into a forgotten theatre that has survived for centuries beneath a drowned world. Its active systems open its spaces into fragments of plays, memories, damaged archives, and worlds preserved beyond their time.

The deeper you descend, the more the theatre begins to shape itself around what it finds in you.

You follow an anomalous signal into a theatre that has survived for centuries below the ocean. Its active systems open its spaces into fragments of plays, memories, imagined lives, damaged archives, and worlds preserved beyond their time.

Built around exploration, perception, diegetic interaction, sound-driven tension, and narrative discovery, House of Tides invites players to move through shifting spaces, examine objects, read fragments, interact with obsolete systems, track sounds, and find a way out.

Horror develops through atmosphere, sensory dissonance, silence, spatial distortion, intimate memories, and the gradual collapse between fiction and reality.

Human-Made Project Statement

House of Tides is being created as a human-made game.

I do not use generative AI to produce final in-game art, writing, voices, music, animation, environments, or narrative content. The final creative work of this project is authored, shaped, and built by human hands.

For me, generative tools may be useful only for early desk research, organization, or reference exploration, but not as a replacement for authored work, credited artists, or final creative production.

This matters especially for a game about memory, identity, performance, and what remains of us.
